The Lycée Français de Vienne is an edu­ca­tion­al insti­tu­tion com­posed of four dis­tinct ‘schools’:

The edu­ca­tion­al struc­ture of the Lycée Français de Vienne reflects the gen­er­al cur­ricu­lum of the French Nation­al Edu­ca­tion System.

Educational Consistency

This means that chil­dren can begin, con­tin­ue and com­plete their edu­ca­tion at the Lycée Français de Vienne, at any oth­er school in France cor­re­spond­ing to their lev­el, or at one of the 600 schools belong­ing to the French Agency for Edu­ca­tion Out­side France, locat­ed in 139 countries.

Early Multilinguism

All pupils are required to learn French and Ger­man from nurs­ery school onwards, with Eng­lish added from Year 5 onwards.

The Lycée Français de Vienne fol­lows the French Min­istry of Edu­ca­tion’s cur­ricu­lum for French lessons and the Aus­tri­an Fed­er­al Min­istry of Edu­ca­tion, Sci­ence and Research’s cur­ricu­lum for Aus­tri­an lessons in native German.
