Inclusive schooling

The Lycée Français de Vienne is an inclu­sive school.

It wel­comes pupils with spe­cial edu­ca­tion­al needs and does every­thing pos­si­ble to sup­port them in their education.

Pupils with special educational needs (ÉBÉP)

Gen­er­al­ly speak­ing, pupils with spe­cial edu­ca­tion­al needs can be con­sid­ered to be all those who require spe­cif­ic atten­tion from the teacher or adult to address learn­ing obstacles.

In France, the Direc­tion Générale de l’En­seigne­ment Sco­laire pro­vides a clas­si­fi­ca­tion for pupils with spe­cial edu­ca­tion­al needs. These are chil­dren with dis­abil­i­ties (phys­i­cal, sen­so­ry, men­tal), chil­dren with seri­ous and last­ing dif­fi­cul­ties at school, chil­dren in dif­fi­cult fam­i­ly or social sit­u­a­tions, intel­lec­tu­al­ly pre­co­cious chil­dren, non-French speak­ing chil­dren, sick children.
