The Lycée français de Vienne is a pres­ti­gious inter­na­tion­al school that is firm­ly root­ed in the edu­ca­tion­al land­scape of Vien­na and Aus­tria more widely.

From Kindergarten to High School

Since its cre­ation in 1946, the school has wel­comed girls and boys of all nation­al­i­ties (now 80), cul­tures and abilities.

We sup­port pupils from kinder­garten through to the final year of high school, giv­ing them every oppor­tu­ni­ty to suc­ceed in the Bac­calau­réat and the com­ple­men­tary Aus­tri­an Matu­ra, as part of a net­work that is unri­valled world­wide, the AEFE, the Agency for French Edu­ca­tion Abroad. The excel­lent exam results achieved by our stu­dents also reflect the unfail­ing com­mit­ment of our teachers.

Our com­mit­ment to equal­i­ty, sol­i­dar­i­ty and the pro­mo­tion of mul­ti­lin­gual­ism is what dri­ves us to realise our sim­ple and fair ambi­tion: to offer every pupil the best pos­si­ble con­di­tions for real­is­ing their full poten­tial, for grow­ing and thriv­ing in a peace­ful envi­ron­ment before head­ing off to high­er edu­ca­tion in France, Aus­tria and around the world.
