Proud to be part of the AEFE, the Agency for French Edu­ca­tion Abroad, which man­ages 600 French schools in 138 coun­tries around the world and edu­cates 400,000 stu­dents, the Lycée Français de Vienne wel­comes 1,809 stu­dents of 89 dif­fer­ent nation­al­i­ties from Kinder­garten to Ter­mi­nale (High School).

From Kindergarten to High School

Our edu­ca­tion­al pol­i­cy is cen­tred on a spir­it of kind­ness com­bined with high stan­dards. We sup­port each pupil on their indi­vid­ual path to suc­cess and are com­mit­ted to help­ing them grow with strong val­ues: respect, open­ness to oth­ers, tol­er­ance and the desire to excel in a mul­ti­cul­tur­al envi­ron­ment where every child has their place! 

Our school enables stu­dents to devel­op strong lan­guage skills thanks to a rich and var­ied cur­ricu­lum. French and Ger­man are giv­en pride of place, but Eng­lish, Ara­bic and Span­ish are also taught. At the end of their school­ing at the Lycée Français de Vienne, stu­dents take the Aus­tri­an Matu­ra exam and also obtain the French Bac­calau­réat or even the French Inter­na­tion­al Baccalauréat. 

It is no coin­ci­dence that Aus­tri­an fam­i­lies have been plac­ing their trust in us for 80 years, some­times for four generations!

Our stu­dents take part in numer­ous projects led by teams with strong links to those of the ZECO (Cen­tral and East­ern Euro­pean Zone) and more gen­er­al­ly the AEFE. In this way, they learn to col­lab­o­rate and open up to oth­ers; they dis­cov­er their tal­ents and devel­op them.
