Middle school (Collège)
Middle school: a demanding and inclusive French education
Middle school offers a high-quality French education based on humanist values and a balance between academic standards, student guidance and cultural openness. It follows on directly from primary school, ensuring a smooth and comfortable transition for students.
Class sizes are kept within reasonable limits, averaging 24 to 28 pupils, providing favourable conditions for learning. This structure allows for regular monitoring of pupils and a stable educational relationship throughout secondary school.
Consistency from primary to secondary school
The transition to secondary (middle and high) school is based on educational consistency: the skills acquired in primary school are consolidated and developed further. Pupils are reunited with their primary school friends, which makes it easier for them to adapt to middle school. The teaching team supports each pupil in developing their independence, working methods and self-confidence.

Languages at the heart of learning
Modern languages play a central role in secondary school. French, the language of instruction, is reinforced in order to develop written and oral proficiency. German is taught from kindergarten onwards, and English from primary school (CM1) onwards. These can be supplemented by other languages and cultural options depending on the level: Arabic and Spanish are available as options from 5ème onwards.
This progressive language teaching enables pupils to develop solid skills and an essential cultural openness in an international context.
Progressive preparation for the DNB
Throughout middle school, students are supported in building their knowledge and skills in preparation for the Diplôme National du Brevet (DNB), french middle school diploma, which certifies mastery of the common core of knowledge, skills and culture. Working methods, critical thinking and personal commitment are developed progressively in order to prepare students for this first national certification with confidence.
A structured educational framework
School life is based on mutual respect, dialogue and student commitment. Collaborative projects, educational activities and prevention programs contribute to a peaceful school environment where everyone can succeed and thrive. The values of freedom, equality, responsibility and critical thinking form a common foundation that is taught throughout secondary school.
