Welcome to the web site of our school: Lycée Français de Vienne!

Officially accredited and a proud member of the AEFE network – which brings together 600 French schools in 140 countries and educates more than 400,000 pupils – the Lycée Français de Vienne currently welcomes 1,763 pupils of 90 nationalities, from kindergarten (École Maternelle) to the final year of high school (Terminale).

From kindergarten to high school: a path to excellence and fulfilment

Our educational policy places kindness at the heart of our high standards. Convinced that each pupil follows their own path to success, we support them with care and ambition. Respect, openness, tolerance, a taste for hard work and a desire to excel are the values that guide our actions in a resolutely multicultural environment where everyone finds their place.

A plurilingual and international education

The Lycée Français de Vienne offers every pupil the opportunity to develop strong language skills thanks to a rich and diverse curriculum. French and German play a central role, alongside English, Arabic and Spanish.

At the end of their schooling, our pupils are awarded the Austrian Matura as well as the French Baccalauréat (French high school diploma) or even the International French Baccalauréat.

For eight decades, Austrian and international families alike have placed their trust in us – in some cases for four generations. This lasting loyalty is testimony to the quality of the education we provide and the daily commitment of our teams.

Enriching and inspiring projects

Throughout the year, our pupils participate in numerous educational and cultural projects organised by our teams, in close collaboration with the ZECO (Central and Eastern European Zone) and, more broadly, with the AEFE (Agency for French Education Worldwide). These experiences open their minds to the world, develop their cooperation skills and reveal their talents.
