Parents' associations listen to, inform and support families at the Lycée Français de Vienne.

Their representatives, elected early in the school year, are closely involved in school life by participating in various committees and bodies.

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

The parents' associations also offer extracurricular activities in arts, games, culture and sports on Wednesday afternoons for pupils at the LFV Kindergarten and primary school.

Registration for these workshops and payment of participation fees are handled directly by the two parents' associations.

Founded in 1958 by three former students, Kurt Schärf, Peter Perez and Ivar Wolff, the Association des Anciens Élèves du Lycée Français de Vienne (Association of Former Students of the French Lycée in Vienna), which became Les Anciens du LFV in 2015, is above all a place for meeting and exchange for all those who have shared one or more years of their academic or professional career at the LFV.

A true living community, the Association now brings together more than 8,500 former students and staff, of all generations, spread across five continents. Its entirely voluntary work offers its members an international network of solidarity, promoting dialogue, mutual support and the sharing of personal and professional experiences, and supports the Association des Anciens des Lycées Français du Monde (ALFM) in its global interactions.

LFV alumni actively participate in the school's life, promoting friendship and dialogue between France and Austria and committed to preserving the multicultural wealth that is unique to the LFV.

Throughout the year, the ALFV organises social gatherings and reunions — such as the alumni dinner at the LFV, the traditional lunch in Paris, coffee meetings and numerous events in support of projects for current students — with a view to expanding its network, exchanging advice and business cards, and sharing memories and experiences.

Joining the Anciens du LFV Association, a 70-year-old organisation, means keeping alive a spirit, values and a shared history, while building new bridges for the future.
