The wonderful charity project by the CE1 classes

Since autumn, the six CE1 classes of the French School of Vienna, joined this year by the FLSCO CE2/CM2 class, have been taking part in a wonderful artistic and charitable adventure in partnership with the association “Stimmen für Afrika”.

Centered around children’s right to education and openness to the world, the students discovered Africa through the documentary On the Way to School, the world of Kirikou, as well as African drumming and dance workshops. Singing, theatrical expression, choreographed movements and teamwork shaped several months of preparation.

The highlight of the project was the performances presented at the Studio Molière, where the students showcased on stage all their talent, energy and enthusiasm before a delighted audience. These performances also highlighted the remarkable commitment of all the CE1 teachers, who were fully invested in this meaningful and unifying project.

Beyond the artistic achievement, this initiative also carries a strong humanitarian dimension: thanks to the generosity of the families, ten children in Djougou, Benin, will be able to attend school for the twelfth consecutive year.

A huge congratulations to our students and their teachers for this inspiring, generous and deeply human project.
