The 2nde 3 at the CEMM
On Tuesday, April 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the students of 2nde 3 had the opportunity to visit a molecular medicine research laboratory within the AKH, the central hospital of Vienna, located just a twenty-minute walk from the school. Organised thanks to the valuable support of a parent, the visit aimed to give students a concrete and immersive insight into the daily activity of a research centre connected to the fields of Life Sciences and Physics-Chemistry.
The morning, which had been particularly well prepared, began with a light refreshment, followed by a general presentation of the centre and its activities. The students were then divided into two groups and introduced to different technical and practical aspects of research work, allowing them to experience scientific research at close range alongside professionals and advanced laboratory equipment. An enriching experience that enabled students to truly “feel” the reality of contemporary medical research.
