An Imperial Ball to Celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Lycée Français de Vienne

On Saturday, February 28th, the Lycée Français de Vienne celebrated its 80th anniversary with an exceptional imperial ball held in the prestigious setting of Vienna’s Rathaus. This evening, marked by elegance and conviviality, brought together students, families, staff, and guests for a festive and unforgettable moment.

True to the grand tradition of Viennese balls, the evening began with a particularly elegant entrance by the students, the result of their preparation and learning of ballroom dances. In the sumptuous hall of the Rathaus, the young dancers delivered an opening performance filled with grace and harmony, setting the tone for an evening steeped in tradition and sharing.

Throughout the night, the dance floor was never empty: waltzes, music, and moments of celebration filled this event, which will undoubtedly remain in the memories of the school community.

Beyond the beauty of the setting and the joy of dancing together, this ball was an opportunity to celebrate the history and spirit of the Lycée Français de Vienne: an institution open to the world, rich in its diversity, and deeply committed to the values of encounter, transmission, and conviviality.

A luminous and unforgettable evening to mark the 80 years of the LFV.
