Énergie, couleurs et joie au Lycée français de Vienne !
Despite the biting cold, the elementary school courtyard turned this morning into a vibrant space of celebration, enthusiasm, and togetherness. With big smiles, our students launched the House system—an approach inspired by English-speaking schools and aligned with official guidelines to strengthen school climate, cooperation, and community spirit.
Divided into four Houses—Storks, Beavers, Ibex, and Salamanders—each linked to inspiring Austrian figures, symbolic animals, colors, and core values, students threw themselves into their first cooperative activities with remarkable energy. Tolerance, solidarity, perseverance, empathy, and creativity came to life through laughter, teamwork, and genuine engagement.
Seeing children gather under their House banners and dance to their music—sometimes shivering, but always smiling—was truly moving. This new dynamic builds bridges across age groups, strengthens a shared identity, and helps create an even more inclusive, supportive, and vibrant school environment at the Lycée Français de Vienne.
A huge well done to our teaching teams for their creativity and dedication, and heartfelt thanks to our students who remind us that, with trust and cooperation, human warmth always wins over the cold.
We can’t wait for the next gatherings—and to raise each week the flag of the winning House!
