DanubiaMaths: when numbers bring together French lycées along the Danube
This Monday, the LFV in Vienna hosted DanubiaMaths, a competition bringing together pupils from 6° till 2nde at Lycée francais in Budapest, Bratislava and Vienna, united by a shared passion: tackling mathematical challenges.
Three cities, three schools, a river linking them… and a brilliant equation: curiosity + logic + team spirit.
Throughout the day, the pupils immersed themselves in a series of stimulating challenges combining speed of calculation, logical reasoning and concentration. With stopwatches in hand, the participants had to add their ideas together, multiply their strategies and sometimes divide the difficulties to arrive at the solution.
In an atmosphere that was both studious and enthusiastic, each challenge served as a reminder that mathematics is about much more than just numbers: it is a game of intelligence, perseverance and creativity.
This competition is also an opportunity to acknowledge the commitment of the maths teachers from the three schools, who support and encourage their pupils in this intellectual adventure.
With DanubiaMaths, one thing is certain: when minds work together, ideas multiply… and so does the joy of learning.
