Bac and Matura Results

2026 Baccalauréat: 99.2% pass rate at the LFV!

At the Lycée Français de Vienne, we are celebrating some outstanding Baccalauréat and Matura results today and are proud of the journey this cohort has undertaken: 128 out of 129 students passed the Baccalauréat, with 85 per cent achieving honours; 69 out of 72 pupils have also passed the Matura – a fantastic double achievement for them all.

For three-quarters of the cohort, the journey began fifteen years ago, in the nursery classes in Grinzing. Fifteen years of discoveries, learning, successes, and sometimes doubts too, but above all fifteen years spent growing up together. What a journey it has been!

Behind every qualification earned lie friendships forged over the years, shared memories, projects undertaken together, and the teachers, educational staff, and administrative and technical staff who have supported these pupils at every stage of their journey.

The numerous honours awarded recognise not only the hard work, perseverance and commitment of our pupils, but also the constant support of their families and the dedication of the entire team at the Lycée français de Vienne.

The doors to higher education now stand open before them. Some will continue their studies in France, others in Austria, or elsewhere in the world. Each and every one of them takes with them a part of the LFV’s history.

But before looking ahead to what lies ahead, it is time to savour this moment, to enjoy this success to the full and to enjoy a well-deserved holiday. Congratulations to our new Baccalaureate graduates. We wish them all the very best for the next stage of their journey and look forward to discovering the paths they will forge in the future.
