Here are the answers to the most frequently asked questions about the registration and re-registration procedures.
This photo will enable us to produce your personal access badge for the school. This is a new feature that aims to reinforce security and control at the entrance.
We need to make sure that you are the legal guardian of your child. This is a matter of security and legality. Because there isn’t a European digital identity, the easiest way is to use a digital copy of your passport. Of course, you can also put in your identity card.
In case of a re-registration, we would like to enhance that this request was already made — and carried out — when your child was first enrolled, but in paper form. With this new registration platform, we are able to reconstitute your family file in digital form.
This is a regulatory requirement: we have to make sure that we send the documents to the right address. In Austria, this document is regarded as authoritative.
Eduka Software’s hosting infrastructure is based on the use of the CloudFlare service on the front end. This means that anyone accessing Eduka Suite actually first establishes a connection to CloudFlare, which, after analysing the request, the client’s behavior, and other security checks, relays this request to the original Eduka server.
All requests passing through CloudFlare are strictly encrypted. The use of the CloudFlare component was explicitly validated by the AEFE prior to the technical implementation of this infrastructure, in order to guarantee compliance with measures and good practices in terms of privacy protection and data confidentiality.
In addition, an IT security audit is carried out each year on the entire Eduka Suite platform and its infrastructure by the company SECURIVIEW. All of this company’s operations are devoted exclusively to IT security. SECURIVIEW’s client portfolio includes major industry players such as Sophos, McAfee, Juniper, Dell, and many others. The missions carried out by SECURIVIEW for Eduka Software have given complete satisfaction and have made it possible to considerably reinforce the security of the application and its infrastructure.
It is clarified that our application is compliant with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data.
The server hosting Eduka is located in a datacenter located in the EU, in Amsterdam to be precise, and is therefore protected by European law.
The documents and information requested are necessary from a legal point of view on the one hand, and for the execution of the teaching mission and the contract of trust between our school, the parents and the pupils, with a view to the latter’s education, on the other. Furthermore, the processing of this data is necessary for the performance of a mission of public interest. The legitimate interest pursued by our school in collecting the data is, of course, its teaching mission.
Consequently, the collection of data is necessary for legal or contractual reasons. For any data not related to a legal or contractual obligation, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time (without prejudice to the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent given prior to such withdrawal).
The consent section expressly asks you to certify that you are aware of the General Data Protection Regulation for Lycée. This is a first. You will find all relevant information in this document.
We remind you that you have rights in relation to the data collected. These rights are as follows, within the limits mentioned in the regulations and according to the purposes justifying the processing:
- Right to information
- Right of access to data
- Right to rectification of data
- Right to have data deleted
- Right to restriction of data
- Right to data portability
- Right to object to the processing of data by giving specific reasons for your request, considering that the data controller can demonstrate that there are legitimate and compelling reasons for the contested processing, in accordance with the GDRP.
To make use of these rights, you just need to send an e‑mail or a letter to the following address: messagerie@lyceefrancais.at . This request must precisely mention the subject, be signed and dated and be accompanied by a copy of both sides of your identity card.
As you will understand from reading these lines, we are entirely motivated by the need to modernize in order to offer you a quality service in a highly secure environment.
