The Lyc\u00e9e fran\u00e7ais de Vienne (LFV) was found\u00aded by Gen\u00ader\u00adal B\u00e9thouart, High Com\u00admis\u00adsion\u00ader of the French Repub\u00adlic in Aus\u00adtria, on 11 May 1946 in tem\u00adpo\u00adrary premises.<\/p>\n

Since its foun\u00adda\u00adtion, the LFV has been open to girls and boys, Aus\u00adtri\u00adans and French. It offered the unique fea\u00adture of all-day class\u00ades and, at a time of wide\u00adspread food short\u00adages, includ\u00aded a school canteen. <\/p>\n<\/div>

In occu\u00adpied Vien\u00adna, the first Cul\u00adtur\u00adal Agree\u00adment between the Repub\u00adlic of Aus\u00adtria and the French Repub\u00adlic was signed on 15 March 1947. <\/p>\n

This defines the spe\u00adcial sta\u00adtus of the LFV. This gives it a last\u00ading legal basis for its oper\u00ada\u00adtion and the approval of its stud\u00adies. <\/span> <\/p>\n<\/div>

1952<\/h4>\n<\/div>
<\/div><\/div>

An agree\u00adment dat\u00aded 22 Feb\u00adru\u00adary 1952 \u2018relat\u00ading to the Lyc\u00e9e Fran\u00e7ais de Vienne\u2019 defined the equiv\u00ada\u00adlences, par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar\u00adly between the Matu\u00adra and the Bac\u00adcalau\u00adr\u00e9at, and the respec\u00adtive pro\u00adpor\u00adtions of Aus\u00adtri\u00adan and French edu\u00adca\u00adtion. This ver\u00adsion was updat\u00aded on sev\u00ader\u00adal occa\u00adsions (1960, 1962, 1968) and abro\u00adgat\u00aded by the cur\u00adrent agree\u00adment dat\u00aded 27 Jan\u00adu\u00adary 1983, which main\u00adtains the main thrust of the ini\u00adtial text. <\/p>\n<\/div>
